I live in the United States (Pennsylvania to be exact) and I wanna keep in contact with my friend in Scotland easier than just emails or IMing. Texting would be an easier way that occurred to me, but I'm not sure if it'll work, and I don't want to risk the charges attempting it until I'm sure. So, I need to know, CAN I text my friend at all? And if so, what are the charges per text for messages sent and received? As a last question, are there any plans that cover the charges? My phone company is AT&T and my friends is Vodafone. Thanks!
