World War II ballad help?!?

I'm writing a ballad for English, but I can't think of anything else to say. I have 6 stanzas and I need 8. I was just wandering if someone could help me out with a stanza. it needs to rhyme like this:

Blood and gore for 6 long years,
Constant gunfire damaging the ears,
Loved ones lost and enemies slain,
Those on the ground weeping in pain.
