by Oliver Stone. What absolute crap. I can't bear Nicholas Cage anyway, highly overrated actor and this movie didn't change that opinion. What a complete load of dross.

They should have had Sylvestor Stallone play the lead, have him realise its a conspiracy and then search for George Bush. John Rambo rolling around the White House roof before crashing through the roof and landing in George Bushes bed!

I'm more interested in seeing the C4 documentary tonight at 9pm - 9/11 Phone Calls From The Towers. I thought the documentary made by the french brothers very good viewing too - realistic, as they were actually there and it pulled no punches.

It's the hollywood spin I can't stomach.

Cage cab be a bit variable can't he.

That aside I thought WTC was just dull. I just couldn't care about anyone in it to be honest.

United 93 on the other hand was splendid. That did make me care.

WTC was crap, and i actually quite like Nic Cage. United 93 on the other hand is probably one of the most harrowing films i've ever seen, i highly reccommend watching it.

I never thought it could be possible to make a boring film about 9/11 but Oliver Stone has managed it with this piece of crap.

Whats happened to the man?, from classics like Born on the 4rh of July and JFK to dross like this and Alexander?

I agree. WTC was almost a pointless film. That TV true life drama with Harvey Keitel as the former FBI and then WTC security boss was much better.

United 93 is great but you have to watch it twice as it's easy to miss the names and who's doing what the first time round.

WTC wasn't great, and the parts with the marine were a bit cringeworthy. United 93 is absolutely superb and it let the events speak for themselves,:( quite harrowing to watch but an excellent film.

Digressing abit, but are there two versions of united 93? I am positive i watched a more schmaltzy over dramatic version prior to the one on itv tonight.

I think this was the TV United 93. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481522/
I saw it and it was poor. None of the edginess and tension of the cinema film. It's funny but when you watch the proper film you're really routing for the passengers and you hope that the pilot guy can get a fair chance at flying and landing the plane. Didn't work out of course.
