Working on my Ford F-100 Sport Custom?

If i put the key in the ignition and turn it and it does even make a sound at all(no sound whatsoever), is the only possible problem the battery or could it be the starter?
Please no ignorant, smart ass answers.Only answer if you know and your serious. Thanks.
 
Could be battery but since you say it makes no sound, I would think it is a bad connection in the starting circuit. Do some troubleshooting of all the wires from the battery, solenoid and starter.
