HI!! I have a question.. my mother came to visit me and she said she met this person on the airplane --creepy-- who told her that her friend was working with/for the government in exchange for financial aid. She said it wasn't like the army or anything: they pay for you to go to college and then you work at one of their bases after graduation.

When she told me this, it seemed to good to be true.. but when I tried to check out the websites, they weren't working, and I gooled it and it came up with registering for the Army for AID.

HELP???

It sounds like an Army thing to me. Did she give you a name of the program?

With the Army, it doesn't have to be combat related. You don't even have to go overseas. Was she perhaps refering to the National Guard? That's something where you can stay at home, work only one weekend every month and 2 full weeks every year. You can even attend school and work another job in the meantime. They will cover much, if not all, your tuition. And, like I said, you don't have to do things combat related. They have positions as simple as office work.

I'm not sure what the person was talking about - but you should check out the National Guard, if that's the type of thing you're looking for.
