working apprenticeship ?

I have alot of talent I've been told. Although, never in my life have I ever ridden a trained horse. Ever. Every single horse I have ever bought or ridden has had some kind of problem. That's the only way we afford the horses that we do. And still, I don't have the horse with the potential to do what i want to do. I rode and trained small ponies up until just last year, and am constantly riding many different horses with training problems I'm expected to fix. I just don't get the opportunities that others get. At this moment I have the most amazing well bred dressage horse squealing at the geldings in my own back yard. But I don't ride dressage and have no interest in it. I wish there was some way that I could get an opportunity to show how I can ride. I was hoping that maybe this was the way? A working apprenticeship. But honestly, I have no idea how to...look for the right trainer or...anything of how to become an aprrentice..?
