I worked for my family's furniture store my father was the president I worked as the general manager , every month I was given a check for 1500 dollars as a payment for work, somehow this was never claimed to the twc, im not sure if thats what its called, where your employer mails in how much money you were paid, its a claim form, what is this form, where can i get it and have my father fill it out and mail it in. I havent been able to get any income for over 6 months and have had to move in with my mother at 25 because i have no money and dont know how to get unemployment, please what can i do? can i explain this to texas workforce commission somehow and they can pay me? 1500 a month is more than enough to help me get on my feet, please what are the forms i neeed to fill out and send in or who do i need to speak to, a lawyer? any numbers i can call who can sort it out?
i was paid 1500, the taxes would have been additional to make my after taxes 1500, i wasnt being paid 'under the table' we are just new to business and paid over 50k in sales tax the first year, so its not like we were cheating on taxes to the woman julia who got a thumbs up, your a B%TCh in my book btw, have some sympathy for someone who worked for a year and a half, took a 1500 dollar paycheck a month while trying to turn a profit for hte business. i was THE ONLY EMPLOYEE THE MANAGER AND SALES PERSON, so i would consider that a worker, and i am entitled to benefits, i just need to figure out the process of getting twc to get proof of the income, i called and they said they need to contact the owner (my father, and go through the books to see what i was paid) they mentioned something along the lines of that they need to collect the unimployment insurance and see how mujch i was paid in order for me to get paid, so i need to know what i can do or tell my father to do to start getting
