work Pre-Booked holidays f?

HI, myself and a friend are going on holiday on 10th to 24th september.

He has these dates booked off with the current company he works for but he is actually leaving this company, and going back to his old job at Gladstone Brooks on 11th july and he has said they will not give him the holidays?

A friend of mine has advised me they must honour pre-booked holidays? is this correct
 
Maybe where you live. I would have held out for the holidays or just woudln't have been able to start until Sept. 25. He could probably take the days without pay if he asked very nicely but that would only be a concession based on how much he paid in deposits ahead of time. You and he may have to work out a way to sell those bookings to someone else.
