Work outs to help me through Marine Corp. Basic Training.?

I want to join the Marine Corp. I am currently 16 yrs old. I previously did soccer and tennis as sports freshman and sophomore year, but now I chose Cross Country and Track to get in shape and be some what in good physical condition. I know running isn't all of basic training though. I would like to know what are some good upper body workouts that would help me get into a better physical form to prepare me better. I am 16, as I have already stated and i am 130 lbs, but I have very little upper body strength as i am a "twig". Please any current or previously served Marine Corps soldiers, help a hopeful future Marine.
