Woohoo...They're remaking Logan's Run

Well I've always felt that with the effects that they have nowadays and the fact that the original, despite it's charm and being a guilty pleasure of mine, isn't really very good it could do with an update. And apparently they're following the book more this time, which is apparently quite different from the film.

It's ages since I read the book, but yes, it's very different, from what I remember Logan's much more of an antihero for a great part of the story, and it's also very dark (from what I remember, I was a teenager when I read it, so what I considered 'dark' then might not be quite the same now I'm an aged old crone :o )

Wouldn't mind seeing it done properly though, remember being really disappointed in the film - Heath Ledger would be my initial choice for Logan :)

It could do with a remake. The original film was a bit on the low budget side and the effects were fairly poor (although Jenny Agutter is always worth watching :-)

It was a film of its time, though, much like Barbarella was in the Sixties. Watching it now, it looks rather quaint and dated (as do other films around that time, e.g. Zardoz)

I'd like it to have a British cast, though.

How can this be good news? Jessica will almost certainly be played by Keira Knightly - who isn't and never will be a patch on Jenny Agutter.

I couldn't stop laughing when Peter Ustinovs characther appeared, he was a spitting image of an old bloke in my town, his voice and mumbling was identical.
Whenever I bumped into the bloke I couldn't keep a straight face :o

Who cares what kind of cast it has? I'd just like to see this be good for once (unlike the original film or the TV series).
