Woody Allen's Latest

The shame is that the likes of Broadway Danny Rose, Hannah and Her Sisters, Radio Days and many others are superb films.

Wistful, funny, thoughtful and made with a lovely touch.

The last good film he was involved in was Sweet and Lowdon.

I had hoped that was a return to form after a few poor years but it now looks like one last good shot.

I'm reminded of what Danny Baker once said of Woody Allen these days - that there'll always be people who say he's back to his best because his new film contains two funny jokes instead of the usual one.

Match Point - how shit was that?
