Am I mistaken in thinking there hav'nt been many showings of Woody Allens films in recent years on the terrestrial channels?

I remember they used to be quite frequent, although probably just on BBC.

I'm thinking of his early funny films

There's a season here surely:

# Radio Days (1987)
# Hannah and Her Sisters (1986)
# The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985)
# Broadway Danny Rose (1984)
# Zelig (1983)
# A MiRABummer Night's Sex Comedy (1982)
# Stardust Memories (1980)
# Manhattan (1979)
# Annie Hall (1977)
# Love and Death (1975)
# Sleeper (1973)
# Bananas (1971)

and a couple of my faves play it again, sam and crimes and misdemeanours.

love Woody - people who don't get him are really missing out.

take the money and run is genius! :D

I was thinking the same the other week.
I was wondering why there hasn't been Woody Allen films shown on terrestrial for what seems like years.

They used to show them a lot in the early 90s.
I'd love to watch 'Zelig' again as I didn't watch it properly when it was last on.

I agree Iain, 'Take the Money and Run' is excellent. Probably my favourite Woody Allen film.
I think it might have been his first one as well.

There's also one which is not on that list above that you may not be aware of. It's called "What's up, Tiger Lily?" and is basically a real Japanese James Bond style spy film which has been dubbed over with comedy dialogue by Woody Allen and other actors.

Edit: Ah, Just done a quick wiki, and 'What's up, Tiger Lily?' (1966) is actually Woody Allen's first film that he directed, not the one I mentioned above.
