Jamie, do you think I would get the same results you did wit the 555 in the 96" motor using the Bassani 2-1 shorty meg pipe instead of your 2-1-2 pipe (because I ride a softail).

I like the TQ coming on early like you managed to get with your 2-1-2 pipes.... I'd hate to get let down by my pipes.

Great discussion since I want to swap my cams out too. One question though, I ride a RKC and have no idea what rpm's I ride at since I don;t have a tach. Secondly, how is idle affected by the cams? Does it shake even more than stock?

Also is a 2-1-2 header pipe made for a 2008 or just 09-10? If not what is the best option? I Have Rush 1.75" slip ons now.
 
Great thread. Thanks for the "how to". Different question. What about gear drive? I have read that there is play in the twin cam drive mech. Am I just showing my age?
 
You don't need gear drive on your '09. Yours has the latest chain drive and the previous chain drive was a weak link which people upgraded to gear drive.
