we are planning on building a trellis that will probably remain outdoors year round. we live in PA so it does get wet and cold.
it is not going to be super elaborate and want to do it for as inexpensive as possible. as far as wood goes, ive checked lowes and home depot to get a basic idea of selection and prices.
we are going to paint it so if we used an outdoor type paint would that create a weather barrier allowing use to skip pre treated more expensive wood?
any help or information with type and prep of wood itself, other than what im asking would also help ... thank you
