Wondering what a lounge dress is? my best friends wedding invitation asks us to wear lounge dress?

It means a nice dress that is not too fancy. You just want like a little dress that isn't long and too fancy, but not too short and uncomfortable. I have a lounge dress that is knee length, black and spagetti strapped. So I hope that helps a little.

It's a more formal dress than something you would wear to work or for everyday wear, but is usually shorter in length then something you would wear to an event that stated "formal attire." It's also called a cocktail dress.
