Wondering the name to a weird finger trick, kinda like snapping your fingers?

I noticed a lot of kids were doing this trick where they shake there hand up and down very fast and there index finger hits there middle finger making a clapping sound, now I have looked and looked and cant find the name of the trick or find out how to do it, thanks to anyone who finds the answer!
