Poetry itself is lovely and beautiful and sometimes sexy or at least sensual. Poetry doesn't come easily to many people and is based on emotions and feelings which guys tend to shy away from so when a guy writes poetry, it is a wonderful thing for a woman to hear...and especially if the poem is about her. Saying the poet is sexy is a different thing though as being sexy is typically based on physical appearance and not everyone, whether they be a poet or not, is sexy. I wouldn't say it turns me on when a man has 1000 ways to tell me I am beautiful and worthwhile but it doesn't hurt his case either...unless his poem is a version of a hip hop song and he starts trying to rhyme words with booty, jiggle, da bomb, and 'get wit cha'.
