With sites like YouTube, is there any financial reward for having a lot of hits?

Do you get ANY type of reward other than the satisfaction that 1 million people saw it? I was wondering because some people really, really take the time to go all out to demonstrate something. Is it just the satisfaction that you shared something? Thanks
