the advantage in the War on Terror? 'Nuff said.

What say you America?
Please opine if your online, and don't be a popinjay in the No Spin Zone!
Remember, waterboarding, (a painless and non-toxic way to coerce terrorists held captive) is credited with breaking Kalid Shak Mohammed and saved possibly hundreds or thousands of lives because this animal "sang like a bird" after only a few moist moments on the board.

Water boarding isnt very torturous. Do you watch 24...Jack Bauer knows what real torture is

Yes your correct...libs are still delusional thinking that if you ask nice enough and say pretty please they will tell you....some day they may wake up from fantasy land.......Watch them SCREAM when it is one of their family members that needs saving....and see what they agree to be allowed then....

The phony War on Terror is just a grab for power by the very politicians who brought terrorism to our shores, with their interventionist foreign policy. They then used to threat of terrorism to deprive us, the American people of our Constitutional rights, and to justify torture.

Not only does this set a precedent (these thugs can use terrorism against YOU, if they decided that you are a terrorist), it has made us look like Nazi German and the Communist Empire to the rest of the civilized world. Remember, torture is terrorism.

Isn't it odd that we didn't have to worry about these terrorist until our politicians involved us in their wars? As nasty as the terrorists are, it is not they who are destroying freedom in our nation, it is Democrats and Republicans.

Are you ready to sacrifice your freedom for the protection offered by our politicians? Are you ready to kowtow to the Department of Homeland Terrorism? If you answer yes, you don't deserve to live in freedom.

waterboarding painless? its drowning someone, how about i hold your head under water and you tell me if its painless or not.

every single person who has done interrogations had stated that torture leads to nothing.

Yes, the terrorists will have the advantage. Playing too nice with people who only want you dead & are unwilling to negotiate that fact, is not only a mistake but a definite sealing of our failure before we even begin.

Terrorists were given a permanent advantage in the "War on Terror" as soon as it was conceived. War is terror. Forgive me if I don't take the word of sadists for how much information they obtain through torture. If we really wanted to reduce global terrorism, we might start by investigating who pulled off 9/11 and why.

Water boarding is a very positive and effective way of stimulating conversation between two potential adversaries. To encourage someone to fold like a cheap suit reduces the time these two will not be friends. Once the scurrilous dog is outed, it becomes a matter of routine before his associates and co-conspirators become known and eventually destroyed.

Now, how can this be a bad thing ?

You Betcha!

They are rolling in laughter! The only plus is they hate America because of liberalism. Maybe they will take care of some of that problem.

Yes, what you mentioned is only part of what Obama and his liberal allies will do to weaken America. The thing they don't understand is that Bush has protected liberals from murderous thugs who want every liberal dead. Liberals better figure out who their real enemy is. They must wake up and smell the jihad...

Yeah ok. If we water boarded you would you admit to sexually harassing your coworker? Spin that one a whole.

The "War on Terror" is a farce. Anybody with an IQ over 80 can see that. And the term 'terrorist' has been used to define peaceful protestors who exercise dissent. Maybe you shouldn't be so sheepish and take this whole 'war on terror' with a faceless boogeyman so seriously.

Innocent until proven guilty right? So, we waterboard the innocent until they plead guilty? Then when under torture they give misinformation which leads to a waste of tax dollars and generates more hate. Ya, THAT WORKS.... you neocons are pathetic.

It is only credited with 'breaking Kalid Shiek Mohammed' if you believe the spin and misinformation. Do you forget that Kalid Shiek Mohammed confessed to plotting just about every terrorist attack in recent memory and that the interrogators suspected that they were getting bad information from him regarding some things? Where also did the information 'save the lives of millions'? Nice try. How about posting some backup for your claims (from a legitimate source, not some right-wing blog.) Don't you also realize that information obtained thru torture would be excluded in the courts not only at any trial of Mohammed but also regarding others that he implicates?

Interrogation experts have long maintained that torture is not an efficient method of interrogation and that other techniques yield much more reliable and complete information.

Finally, Guantanomo Bay was one of the biggest mistakes the Bush Administration made in its "War on Terror". Aside from the obvious loss of prestige by the USA for its outrageous violation of human rights, the camp proved to be virtually useless because most of those sent there were not 'the worst of the worst' as Don Rumsfeld claimed. It also ended up being a training facility in many ways for the few actual terrorists that were held there because they found new people to indoctrinate within its confines. The USA would have been far, far better off using Federal and military prisons it already had instead of creating that debacle. Our security will not be harmed in the least by closing Gitmo. The real bad guys that are there will be transferred to another prison. The people that should not be there will be eventually released if we ever get hearings and trials accomplished.

I have gone through a "Waterboarding" as training not fun but as you go through it you need to understand that if they drown you you can't tell them anything sooooo they will not drown you, you may think your going to but you won't.

These torture techniques failed when the KGB used them.

What makes you think just because we're using them now that we're doing any better a job of it?

Oh, and what about those poor SOBs who are not guilty of anything yet are being mistreated with such treatment?

Get your history straight, Billy. You've gotten it wrong before.

You may be right that some useful information will be lost through the prohibition of torture.

However, this must be weighed against the gains of:

Greater co-operation from other countries - many were put off helping the Bush administration in 'War on Terror' because of policies like torture.

Better PR - its much easier to convince people that America is the bad guy when they're torturing people and putting them in secret prisons.

And the fact that some say that information obtained through torture is unreliable.

Also, many people believe that torture is plain wrong - even if it saves lives...

Mr.O'Reilly, you are a source of [vicious, sick, hate engendering] entertaiment, not of news, much less knowledge.
There is my answer.
