If it's a burning smell you could have a brain tumor. Get to a doctor.. and share the symptoms. You will probably need to go for an MRI and a CAT Scan.

...smell in your nose? It's been a few years, and I have severe tension head aches. My head feels sorta tightened up, and even my ears are tense. And when it is at it's worst, I start to have a weird smell in my nose. Has anyone heard of this before?

Yeah i know what you mean i've had headaches all my life. A feew months ago i was getting tension migranes nearly one every other day, so i went to my doc and got this preventative medication, its been five weeks and i've only had one headache, not even a migrane, its been brilliant.
Keep a Headache Diary for a couple of weeks maybe two months go the the doc and show them what its beee like and they should be able to help you
Good Luck
