it after? I want a 10 Gauge hole. So can that be done straight away when you get it pierced or do you have to start off with a snall gauge and stretch it too a bigger size later?
They sure can be pierced at a larger gauge. They make piercing needles as large as 4 gauge, and as long as the piercer has that size needle + jewelry in you should be fine to go.
