My boyfriend was pulled over at a holiday checkpoint & got arrested for suspicion of DUI. He did a blood test at the station & they told him he'd have the results in 7 days. I was with him that night and he had 4 drinks in 6 hours (230lbs.) It took over a month to get the results and they came in at .16%! We notice from the report that they blood wasn't tested until a month after it was drawn. Could this be the reason for the high number? Is there any laws on how soon blood needs to be tested after it's drawn. He passed field sobriety and seemed fine. They took him to the station b/c her refused the breathlyzer. Does blood ferment? It seems impossible that he was twice the legal limit.
