wite raw spot on my tounge

about 6 months ago i got this small white spot on the side of my tounge. its raw feeling and the white will come off when i peel or pull it off kinda like a blister. but even after i pull the white skin off it does not feel any better or any worse. it went away for about 2 months now its back again in the same spot. feels very raw all of the time. food or drinks high in acid causes it too burn. it also burns when i smoke please help
 
I would for sure go to the doctor. Not to scare you, but I have heard this to be a sign of cancer before. It could be nothing, but anything lasting that long and it isn't going away is cause for concern.
 
Thrush is usually a white coating on the whole tongue. SounRAB more like canker sores to me. Your dentist can give you a scrip for Magic Mouthwash -very cheap and works very well.
 
think you should visit the doctor this time without touching the white spot, you may have thrush in the mouth , hope this is some help?.
