I'm not going into much detail with this I just want a simple answer from someone who knows what there talking about.
Ok righto been putting in a new deck into my car so everything is removed. Now, I simply wired up just the power related cables (all 3) to the plug, plugged it in and then put the car into acc and hoorah! new deck is powered and working. What I've done from there is disconnected it and sorted out all the wires (trimming the rest of the wires on the plug and from the wiring on the car to expose them so i can join them since i had only done that for the power related cables). Anywho wired up everything (and yes i've checked many many times that its all connected 2 the correct wire, especially because the unit powered before). Put the key back to ACC and even ON and my deck/unit wont power on at all. Ive checked the plug, the wiring, the fuse on the deck and the car, checked if the front part was connected properly, obviously pressed the power button and other buttons on the unit and everything seems fine.
And just so you so you know, when the unit first tested fine, i disconnected the plug, done all the wiring, then connected the plug back in and found out its not powering on.
Doesn't make much sense to me someone plz help me get rid of this frustration.
Note: During all this I didn't disconnect my cars battery. Mainly becuz instructions never said 2 and cuz I've had stereos fitted to 2 other cars of mine in the past and the battery was never even touched. ALSO during the whole time messing around with any wires I made sure that no wires touched (for example the cars positive and negative wiring touching each other when exposed). I'm definitely sure of it. Of course there's been so sparks, smoke... or fire, even tho right now I'd like 2 see the car up in flames haha.
It's a brand new unit and made from Sony.
Anything else you need 2 know just ask.
Cheers
