Hi I Bought a Century ttuck cap, there are two sets of wires by the drivers side tail light, i know ones for the light and the other set is for the 3rd brake light, they are only cut wires no clips, now i cant find a wiring diagram for my truck which is an 01 dodge ram 1500, but i found the wiring for my trailer hitch, i had a light under my truck that was run from battery to a toggle in cab to back of my truck, i tried to hook the cab light to that but it would not work, so i hooked the light to my 12 volt converter and it worked great, the wire from the light i hooked a dc probe to it and it worked, my wires were not crossed, im lost !
okay now for the brake light, how should i wire the brake light, i looked at the trailer wiring and where it says brake and turn, i put my dc probe to it and when i hit the brake the light came on, when i turned on the turn signel it stared to flash, does the mean when i hook up to that the brake light will flash ? i really am lost any info would be great, oh and about the cap light i also ran power and tried grounding to the truck and still got nothing, but i know the light works and the 3rd light works due to rinning straight to the 12 volt converter i have,
