I have two computers. I was able to use a PCMCIA card from my wireless provider to connect to the internet and link both computers with an ethernet cable in order to access the internet from either computer. My computers are both about 3 years old, both running Windows XP-Pro.
When my wireless card went bad, a replacement card that operated from the PCMCIA slot was not available. The only replacement available was a USB wireless device. Now when I try to connect the two computers AND connect to the internet, I get an error saying I am already using that port..
How can I reconfigure my ports so I can have my wireless card AND still connect both computers with the ethernet cable, so I can have the same access I had with the PCMCIA-based card?
