The current setup in my house is a Linksys Wireless G Router (old school black/purplish with two antennas), with a wireless printer "router" (the printer is old and doesn't have an Ethernet port or anything), and a silver rectangular box that Verizon setup when my parents got Verizon Fiber Optics put in.
My parents don't want to replace the router because we all have laptops, except for me because I built a gaming desktop and the laptop is for school. If I bought a wireless N access point would it broadcast in N speeds so that I can have the benefits of wireless N? I have a Linksys AE1000 for my desktop.
