I had to reinstall windows cos the pc was gettin propa slow and everything + there was too much stuff to sort out, so i reinstalled it fine and it works like new but now it wont connect to the internet ! i reckon i might know whats wrong wiv it though, but i dunno how fix it 
at the moment i am usin my parents laptop which works fine, my desktop pc has no connection to the internet atall
I have a wireless router by linksys, its a WRT54G V2 - the exact same as -> http://www.sozial-inkompetent.de/hardware/wrt54g.png , but i cant search for the router on my pc !
When i go into control panel and then into network connections, i looked for the bit under network tasks where it should say "search for network connections" and there is nothing there. i resetted the pc etc, and i still cant see it anywhere.
I use a wireless antannae that goes into the back of the pc (i dunno what its called, a pci?) and i assume thats what is used to search for the networks, but i have no idea how to make it work again ! ive looked for the cd that came with the router but my mum turns out to have thrown it out lol, so i looked on the internet for the installation software that comes wiv the router but i still cant find anything.. i think its the cd software i need but im not exactly sure, i have looked on google for this problem and i have had no help atall, i dunno if ill end up havin to buy a new routa just to get the cd !
im not that good wiv computers, but ive looked throughout the network connections bit and i have found nothing that helps me to connect to the router, so i dunno if theres something i can change on my pc to sort it out or if i just need the software for it
its propa annoying lol if anyone could help thatd be wicked !
i dont know too much about my pc but i use windows xp home edition, if you need to know anyfing about it ill have a look.. i have a memory stick and spare cds, so i can download it on here and put it on my pc if that helps
