sometimes when i use the wireless connection, the internet and everything (aim, msn, etc) freezes..
the computer still says that it is connected to the network with signal strength "great" but there is clearly no internet connection...
the internet and everything will absolutely completely freeze every time i try to use the "video call" or webcam to video chat with my friends... it will work for a minute or so, but everytime it will freeze and lose connection... all my browsers freeze and its a pain in the ass cuz to reconnect to the internet, i have to manually click on "disconnect from network" and click on reconnect
note*.. for some reason, the internet does not freeeze if i use the "webcam only" option... wierd right??
i think it has something to do with there's too much info or packets of data flowing thru the router, and it causes the router to freeze up.. im not a computer whiz so i dont kno how to handle this kind of problem
also, i run into similar problems when trying to use utorrent or bitcomet.. the torrents will run fine initially and the download will start off nice and strong, but after a minute or so, my internet will freeze and i have to reconnect to the network again to establish a connection... again, the computer says my signal connection is fine throughout even when its not... only after it freezes for a while, it will say that the internet connection is limited...
Dell Studio 1737 Laptop with Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit..
intel core 2 duo p84-- 2.26 ghz
intel(R) wifi link 5100 AGN
router = linksys wireless-6 2.4 ghz WRT54G
internet service provider = comcast stupid-fast internet lolz
so i know its not the internet thats causing the problem... it must be the router!! or something like that. maybe a firmware? or driver? but i doubt it cuz i updated them recently.
someone please help!!
another note, this never used to be an issue before i upgraded to windows 7, but i dont know if thats the root of the issue here...
