Hi, recently i got Sky Wireless broadband but my PC does not have a thing to pick up wireless internet.
So i bought Belkin usb wireless adapter for £20 from Staples, which does the job.
Anyway every now and again my Internet goes off, but when i click on the network connections it says i am connected to 'Sky Broadband'
But on the full map there is red x inbetween the world and networks.
Here is a picture of what i mean;

When ever i click the red x in the picture above, it says diagnosing the problem. Then it says there is a problem with your Domian Name Server settings or something and that windows can not fix this error.
I try turning my PC off for 10 minutes, unplugging the USB adapter to no avail.
I even try diagnosing the Sky broadband connection which says 'connected' anyway, and that just says 'windows can not find any problems with this connection'
Its really stupid when it does this. i can't get it to work for the rest of the day, but by the next day when i switch my PC on its working again?
When i had a normal virgin media broadband box, connected via Usb, sometimes the internet went down but i just click diagnose the 'get new ip address settings' and that fixed it.
But when ever i try and diagnose the Sky broadband it says theres no errors and i am connected, but when i am clearly not every page says 'the webpage can not be loaded' and there is a red x saying DNS error?
Its happened about 4 times in the last 2 months, does anyone know why it keeps doing this, and if there is anyway for me to fix quicker without having to wait untill the next day?
I'm using Windows Vista and the PC is just under 2 years old, i got it brand new november 2008.
If that helps.
