details;windows xp,dell inspiron 1000 laptop; a friend of mines gave me a laptop that was her husband but he has passed away and the issue i am having is; Wireless network connection- error {the network requires a network key {wep key or wpa} needs to be 128bits or 256 bits,can be entered as 8 to 63 characters or 64 hexadecimal characters { i am new at this and is clueless what any of this means and how to work around it or what exact characters to put in, he has passed and she never knew things about his laptop so i am stuck,is there a way around this or and is there a way to change the password and if so how to ago about it please? or what do i do to correct this, also explain or tell me what characters to use? also says 'click an item in list to connect, but then it's security enabled [wireless network,how to change or solve or what exactly do i do,please help cause i don't know where to begin or what to do,please be specific as possible because this is a new issue to me,other then the connection issue,it works fine but not doing me no good if i cannot connect to internet,is there away to change password or do the secuirty thing and how?
