Wireless Communication Switch Off on Toshiba Satellite Laptop?

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop A665D-S5175 and everytime I try to turn on the wireless F8 button it says the wireless is disabled and to turn on the wireless communication switch but there are no switches on the laptop. I've also checked to make sure all the drivers are updated and the HW utility help does not show any wireless communication swtich options. Please help!!!
 
Menus, network connections, then left click on the wireless connection and make sure it is enabled and click apply or OK. Wireless is not normally enabled on Laptops, even though the computer will show a network connection. It is there using limited access.
