My router is a Seimens Gigaset se567, which is said to have both wireless AND DSL connection. I have a laptop now, so I'm in need of a wireless connection so I can transport my computer. But I also need to have DSL for the home computer. I'm unsure if the "both wireless and DSL connection" means that the router can perform only a single connection at a time, or if both can operate simultaneously. Can anyone please help?

DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line in layman's terms it means that you can connect to internet using the phone line and a modem. A wireless router is used to share data among computers using wireless technology instead of ethernet cable .In your case the wireless router will help you in getting connected to the internet with your laptop, before that make sure that you have a DSL connection .Your router can perform both the tasks at the same time without any issues. All the best
