connect, whereas Windows 7 can. Why? I have a home (secured) WiFi and all the desktop systems, that use windows 7, are able to connect easily using external Belkin G network adapter.
On XP, the adapter is installed successfully, but is unable to connect. The connection notification icon says "Windows is acquiring network address", and then nothing happens.
I have tried to repair the connection, it took a lifetime saying "Renewing your IP address" and then just nothing happens.
My Belkin adapter can read the connection, and gets connected too, but its Windows XP which is unable to handle.
The same desktop systems with Windows XP and the same network adapter were able to connect to the WiFi at an insecure network which used proxy. Why cant it do so here?
I am providing it with the right network key.
