Live Love Die

I have been tuning up this Pontiac, and recently pulled off the coil packs and the module that the coil packs are seated on to get at the rear spark plugs from above the engine. I pulled the wires and plugs, then after replacing them and getting ready to put everything back together, I decided to try to follow the wiring from the wire harness plugged into the EGR valve and see if I could find any obvious wiring problems, as it has had a persistent p1406 (EGR Valve Pintle Position Ckt) code since I bought the car roughly three weeks ago. It also had a p0300 (Random Cylinder Misfire) code which prompted the tune-up.
Anyway, after following the wires to the big bundle behind the alternator, I found a 2-pin wire harness that was loose underneath the that bundle of wires. The harness is sitting by itself and is colored red. From what I have been able to see behind the engine, there is no obvious place that it should be plugged in, and due to the grime and dust buildup on it (the pin connectors included) I don't think that I (even accidentally) knocked it loose during the removal of the ignition coils and the module underneath them. I'm stumped.
I don't have access at 4am to a wiring guide, or I would just try to back-trace the wires from the computer.. If anyone has any idea where the correct place to plug that harness into would be, it would be greatly appreciated.
(BTW - the wires themselves are black with a white stripe, and either yellow or a color close to that as the color may have faded\aged..)
