Winterizing

What does weveryone do to winterize their bikes? I guess I am getting old and becoming a fair weather rider only- first year I have even thought about doing it!:lol4:

I will wash and wax them, add fuel stabilizer, top up the tanks and remove the batteries. I usually charge the batteries once a month. Might buy battery tender at the bike show in January.

winterizing? i'm already depressed, it's gonna be a looooong and rainy winter here again. gotta go somewhere warm and dry.... go for a long ride.

Nevermind-- I bought heavier gloves and decided to put my wind shield back on. I am riding as long as its dry. It was a little cold this morning, but ohwell.

That is a very informative article. What does the pleadge do? Why should you cover the end of your pipes?

I ride at least once a month even through winter and make sure to fire her up once every few weeks and let her run.

Saves having to winterize if I'm using it.

Pledge coats and prevents dust and stuff from settling.

I use it to clean my windshield and wipe over the paint and chrome every time I wash to prevent dust and bugs from clinging to the surface.

Also makes bug removal MUCH easier!

I winterize myself not the bike, break the Gerbings heated Jacket liner and Gloves and Ride when every I can, dry roads its a go.
