winter/fall hardshell for snow and hiking?

I am looking for a athletic fitting hard shell for winter here in colorado. I need something waterproof for sure that breathes. I was looking at some shells but i don't know exactly what to get any ideas? the longer the jacket the better for the most part im 6 2 but have a long torso. powder skirt is a huge + because of off piste snowboarding
