Winswup compatible cable

Hi there

I have a Total Multiserver Cable (TMS cable)

I made a cable for siemens using TX,RX and GND on pins 2,3,4, I also joined pin 5 with pin 2 to force cable detection.

For some reason, WinSwup doesnt see the phone, if phone is off and I Bypass the PreChcking when I click power on the phone it says it cant bootstrap on teh phone, if phone is switched on it says Can not Ping mobile

i know the cable works because it works with Joker and with Simoco for downloading/uploading stuff to the phone.

What maybe wrong ?

does WinSwup need a special cable or does it detects the original siemens cable ?

if someone can helo me to complete the cable, maybe should I have CTS, RTS? or something on the cable ?

Hi,
you used this cable in the "service" configuration. Manny times is worked only if you need to make unlock or downgrade firmware (using XBS-service file), but you need to push quicly the power button after starting WinSwup. To solve your problem, you need to insert one resistor (22Kohm) and one diode between pin 4 RS232 connector and pin 1 Slim-Lumberg connector (autoignition option). See on attachemment. If you need to make only upgrade firmware, use the normal datacable (serial or USB).

As I said, I use a TMS cable for making alll of my inventions and cables, the TMS cable is USB to COM interface using FTDI Chip, so, I dont have a PIN 4 on rs232 available, indeed, I have an IGN pin on the TMS PS2 connector, IGN is shiort for Ignition, do you mean I should put a resistir between the IGN pin and the pin 1 on the siemens connector tio to get thee autoignition function working ?

and why it doesnt works with winswup when the phone is Powered On? I think the autoignition function is not necessary when phone is On.
