Winning the bid on a house and being refused because of the price.?

So I bid on a house and I won, My bid was 89.5k at the end. This was at a local auction in Oregon, the starting bid was 25K.
Just today I found out that they refused what I payed because it was not enough.
Even though I won the bid, is this legal?
