In an effort to get my PC to communicate with my Xbox360, I installed Microsoft hotfix KB895961-v4 by request of xbox.com/pcsetup. Upon rebooting my computer, I found that I could not log into my account. Upon rebooting my computer again, I got the blue screen of death. I put in a Xubuntu boot up disc in to recover my files (I transfered them to a USB stick) but I can't find a way to uninstall the hotfix since I can't get into my account (I can only go to the setup, boot up, etc. menus upon pressing F2/F8/F12 at startup).
Any ideas on how to uninstall a hotfix if you cannot get into Windows?

To add, safe mode is not accessible and trying to 'restore Windows to its default state' doesn't work.
