i just updated my destop, and it installed service pack 2, and it made everything look like the windows classic, i cant get that glass look no more, i allready tried everything in the personalize
u might have disabled the services in the msconfig settings ....
i once did that and it turned to be plain windows 98
i think what u should do is select run in the start menu
and then type msconfig
under services ..... reselect all of them
restart and u will get it fixed
otherwise it is a problem in the appearance settings u should install a new theme or style
