Windows v. Mac

Will any problems occur if I use both a PC and a Mac to sync up with the TX? ie. If I start out syncing up with a PC will anything prevent me from subsequently syncing up with a Mac. I assume that I will be able to interface with multiple computers but just want to make sure. Also-what is the estimated lifetime for the TX battery?
Thanks

I sync with a PC at work and at home, but both are Winblows. I sync at work with the cradle and at home via Wi-Fi. I know little about MAC, so I cannot comment on that.

Everytime I sync with the "other" PC I get a message that states, "The Palm has been synced with another computer and some duplication may occur, would you like to continue?" (yes/no) I only have a problem with duplications occasionally, not a big problem.

However, the warning message that pops up causes the sync process to pause until you click OK on the PC you are syncing with. This is anoying because I cannot sync without some intervention. If I'm at home, I have to walk upstairs to the PC and click the Yes button, circumventing all the conveniences of Wi-Fi.

I wish there was a way to disable the message, but there is no check box saying, "Don't warn me again". If anyone knows how to disable the message, that would be helpful.

Battery life is great, I have gone severla days without recharging and then I was only about 1/3 used. Over the weekend I spent time exparimenting with AVI and MP3 files and must have synced 20+ times, uploading various podcasts, MP3s and video files as big a 20MB (not to mention playing them on the Palm repeatedly). And I still had about 1/4 of my battery left. I have read stuff regarding these NiMH batteries and many reviews suggest that they will last about 2 years before there is any appreciable loss in battery life.

Your mileage may very.

Cheers,
John

I was able to use the Palm software 4.2.2 of the Palm and using contacts I added the addresses and click on pic to add a picture, it worked beautifully.

However, I installed the Mac version of the software and I sync the Palm w/ the Mac and the contact list did not come out but rather it came out as addresses w/o a pics. There is a pic icon on top of the address but I dont see a way to add a pic.

It looks great in the PC , the contact, the pictures, etc but in the Mac-G5 w/Tiger the contact module doesnot transfer. What is the solution?

Any ideas are definitely welcome.
TIA

The only way to sync address book images is with The Missing Sync for Palm. This is commercial software but far superior to Palm Desktop. Since your data will sync with Address Book and iCal, the data is instantly available with a Spotlight search or in Mail, MS Word or any other application that uses the data.

Go to the following link to see the features.

I don't work for Markspace nor do I have any interest in the company. Good luck!
