I've recently ran into a problem where Photoshop cs4 and windows photo gallery did not display any cool grey colors. Instead, the cool greys appeared french grey, almost tan. I fixed the problem with photoshop by going into the common files and deleting the color settings. But here's the thing...
In Vista, if I go to into Pictures and double click a jpeg to preview it in Windows Photo Gallery, it still appears to have the french grey tone, like photoshop used to have. BUT if I run the Windows Photo Gallery by itself, then browse for the same image, it appears fine.
Any suggestions? I've already ruled out monitor calibration devices/programs.
