Windows Photo Gallery - Options Import Menu Now Blank - Cannot Scan and Save Docs?

I am running Vista 64B and have when using Windows Photo Gallery, I no longer scan any pictures. All the options information under Options - Import is now blank. How do I restore the ability to scan and save documents. The error is path not found and as the options import menu is blank, I cannot specify one.
