Windows Mobile 6.5 on Samsung Jack, is it possible to upgrade?

Is it possible to do the upgrade safely? And if it is not likely safe, can AT&T do it and if they screw up pay me for it? Also, is the interface any different when the upgrade is complete? And what does the upgrade get me?
