Windows Media Xbox 360 Extender?

I do not have Windows Media Center, but I have my Xbox 360 connected to my computer through my network. The music plays from Windows Media Player, and photos show up, but when I go to videos on the 360 it says there aren't any. There are videos in Windows Media Player, im my shared folders, and I shared the "My Videos" folder. Where does the 360 get the videos from?
