Windows Media Player, video not playing???

I have just downloaded a film off the internet, and I ticked the 'Automatically download codec' box.
I downloaded it, and now Windows Media Player says "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. For additional assistance, click Web Help"
I already went on the Web Help, but it didn't help one little bit!!!
Please Help Me!!!
