Windows Media Player is Playing and It Won't Let Me Exit Out of It?

It won't let me ex out because a sign is showing that says, "Please wait while Windows Media Player formats the device media...

It has a bar with a green light going through it. How do I log out of Windows Media Player?

press ctrl alt delete and taskmanager
then go to the processes tab and click on windows media thing and press delete and ok
