windows media player help?

i have video files that have been loaded off my digital camera a year or so ago and havnt had a problem with them ever before but now when i try watch them windows media player wont just open them and play like before,when i click on them now another thing opens called spybot search and destroy then scans the file and says nothing found,i really do need to figure this out so as i can play these files as they are rather important to me
 
The videos file format is most likely not supported by wmp, so if you could post what kinda file it is, it would be easier to help.
