I want to edit videos from my LG Renior in Windows Live Movie Maker. I'm not sure what quality the videos are but it's very good for a phone and i know it is an 'AVI' file. Windows live movie maker shoudl be able to edit this but when i drag it in, it just shows a grey box with a little red cross in the middle clearly showing it's incompatible or something along those lines.
When i try and play these files from my phone on my laptop using windows media player they also have problems as only the sound works but not video. I'm guessing that these two problems with movie maker and media player are linked.
My real concern is the Movie Maker and i know it should be able to play AVI files and i havn't been able to find the solution on the net so far. I've already tried downloaded codec's for divx but that solution didn't work.
Any help would be much appreciated
